Hello from Zynhive: what we've learned building for 23 businesses

Who we are, what we've learned building websites, apps and marketing for 23 businesses, five quick fixes you can make to your website today, and what this blog will cover.

Hi, and welcome to the Zynhive blog.

We're a small team in Lahore. We build websites, web and mobile apps, chatbots and AI tools for growing businesses, and then help the right people find them through SEO and ads. Our clients include property developers in the UK and Dubai, online stores, founders and service businesses across the UK, the US, the UAE and Pakistan.

This first post is a quick hello, a few honest lessons, and a promise about what you'll find here.

Why we started Zynhive

We kept meeting good businesses that had been let down. A website that looked fine but never brought in a single enquiry. A developer who vanished halfway through a project. An agency report full of numbers that meant nothing to the owner reading it.

So we set out to be the team we'd want to hire ourselves: plain words, a fixed price agreed before we start, work you can see every week, and people who are still around after launch.

A website isn't finished when it goes live. It's finished when it starts bringing you customers.

What we've learned from 23 businesses

We've now built and marketed for 23 client businesses, and 16 of their websites and apps are live today. A few patterns come up again and again:

  • Clarity beats cleverness. The sites that get enquiries say what the business does, and who it's for, in the first five seconds.
  • Proof sells. Real projects, real photos and real numbers do more than any slogan.
  • Speed matters most on phones. That's where most visitors are, and where slow pages lose them.
  • Tracking changes decisions. When you can see which search or ad brought in each enquiry, you stop paying for what doesn't work. One e-commerce client's Meta campaigns returned 12.6 times their ad spend once the budget followed what the data showed was working.
  • Small automations add up. One Zapier and HubSpot setup we built removed up to 70% of a client's manual hiring admin.

Five quick fixes you can make to your website today

You don't need a new website to get more out of the one you have. Start here:

  1. Rewrite your headline. Say what you do and who it's for in one plain sentence. "Family-run builders in Hull" beats "Building dreams since 2005".
  2. Put one clear button at the top. Call, WhatsApp or book. Pick the one you actually want people to use and make it obvious.
  3. Test your contact form. Send yourself a message today. You'd be surprised how many forms quietly stopped working months ago.
  4. Check it on your phone. If it takes more than a few seconds to load, or you have to pinch to read it, visitors are leaving.
  5. Show your work. Add three real projects, photos or reviews. People trust what they can see.
